Roman “Coach B” Blenski, Head Coach
9th Grade Boys Wildcats Blue Team

Roman was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he accomplished his athletic history, youth leadership experience and academic education. Because of his height (6’6”), basketball has been a given sport since the 6th grade and through his years at Pius XI High School.  He continued to play basketball briefly in college including various work and traveling teams. Since graduating from college, he has followed his passion for the game through his son while helping as an assistant coach and in recent years with a traveling basketball team. He still enjoys playing basketball and volleyball on competitive leagues and enjoys watching Milwaukee Bucks and Packers games.

Roman has also had an extensive career as a teacher and director of various youth groups. He has managed very successful youth groups for over 20 years including extended tours throughout the nation competing on national and world class levels.  In addition to his motivation and great organizational skills, Roman has an aggressive approach towards teaching and competition and continues to instruct that “by doing your very best at all times, you will have a winning team”. His teaching philosophy includes “teaching a student” not “telling” and “to be on time is to late, to be early is to be on-time, to be late is lose.”

Roman has always had a passion for technology and has been a Computer Network Engineer for over 10 years. Currently he is working on a Masters Degree in Project Management which has been a long time goal for him. He enjoys spending leisure time with his wife and three kids’ including traveling, snowmobiling, rafting and drum corps.

Coach Tony

Anthony “Coach Tony”  Assistant Coach
9th Grade Boys Wildcats Blue Team

Anthony was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where basketball was a big part of life. At a very young age he was attending various basketball camps most notable the Loyola Marymount Clinic, hosted by former NBA & College Coach Paul Westhead, where he began to develop his skills.  During middle school as the son of a single young mother Linda, his great talent was recognized and a decision was made to pull him out of the Los Angeles school systems and place him in the suburban Torrance district.

He began his high school career at Torrance High as a freshman playing at the varsity level and graduated as a four year letterman.  He was scouted as a junior and senior but due to a diagnosed heart condition his college years would be done without basketball.  Since then Anthony has coached or assisted for more than 10 years in various programs with the YMCA and NJB basketball leagues with age groups 4-5 years, 6-7 years, and 8-10 years.   His most recent coaching position was the Milwaukee Metro Basketball league for 8th graders and he is currently coaching a 6-7 years and 8-10 years old team through the YMCA.

Anthony has always been a team player and that spilled over into his successful career at Columbia St. Mary’s in Milwaukee, were he is part of a Orthopedic Surgery Team.  His medical knowledge and his ability to provide sports medicine applications is an added benefit to any athletic team.

Anthony’s coaching techniques always includes having fun.  You must enjoy being out there, play because you LOVE to.  Education is the most important goal and a priority that you can BANK on.  Anthony is married and has three boys ages, 7, 9, and 14 years. They enjoy traveling, sports, video games, and all types of outdoor activities.
